Re: Cake Decorating CopyrightsPosted by gERARD on July 16, 1997 at 16:30:45: In Reply to: Cake Decorating Copyrights posted by Danielle on July 16, 1997 at 13:17:39: : I am searching for information for a friend of mine who owns her own business. She is a cake decorator and receives many requests for the normal Barney, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, etc etc. cakes. Here's the question: can she bake the cake in a Pooh pan, decorate it and then sell it without infringing on any copyrights?! : Sorry if this is off-topic, but I haven't found too many places on the Internet. If you could direct me to another Internet site for this information, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!! iF SHE MAKES A MILLION CAKES IT WOULD BE A PROBLEM, but if its just one off type things and small scale production I doubt they would even get to hear about it. Legally ,yeh its infringing but so what. Winnie the pooh on T shirts is a problem because they get printed by the hundred, Disney is very tough on infringers, the saying is "don't mess with the mouse".
