Nancy got the idea from someone else and they got the idea from someone else.
I was doing this well over 20 yrs ago and I got the idea from a swiss chocolate dude in FL.
Works nice for a sliced truffle candy too, roll out marzipan in 2 inch wide strips, brush edge with water, pipe a filling of whatever you want and roll it up, brush with chcolate and slice into individuals.
Looks just like sushi.
If time isn't an issue you can plastersize chocolate with corn syrup and roll that out, fill with white choclate dried pineapple rum ganache for pina colada.
Stick around long enough and the same things get reinvented over and over.
They usually do tend to get better though.!
