baptism cakesPosted by Tina Revier on March 07, 1998 at 10:48:21:
Hello! I'm in a panic and can't find a good design for a cake for my daughter's baptism. My daughter is 8 years old, so a baby type one will not do. We are Protestant, if that makes a difference, and the bakeries (of which there are exactly two in this area) have no clue! They showed me one with baby booties (NOT) and one with a cross just FILLED with frosting (yuck). Anyone have some good ideas that I can take into the bakery? Also, when I asked the lady in charge what was usually written on them she said, "I don't really know, since the cake decorator has always written them in Spanish." HELP! Is it so unusual to want a cake for your daughter's baptism? No offense intended to anyone, by the way, it's just frustrating.
