Re: Golf Club franchise on Bar & Catering.Posted by George on April 05, 19101 at 18:20:00 : In Reply to: Golf Club franchise on Bar & Catering. posted by Dave Hill on April 05, 19101 at 16:41:29 : : Is there anyone who runs the bar & catering as a franchise within a golf club and what pitfalls have you come across. I really do need to know everything. It really depends what type of club you are talking about- Private, Public, For Profit, Semi Private, Municipal or any of the myriad of combinations of the above. If you are in a private situation it can really be a nightmare especially if your business is restricted to club members and they have to approve everything. Simply put private club members expect to be treated as kings and queens. That is fine as long as the expenses are covered by annual levies that cover short flows in cash and excessive food costs created by having to have product on hand to pamper them. What type of place is it and where is it?
