Re: Who chooses the menu? You or your client?Posted by Leslie on November 04, 1998 at 10:38:25: In Reply to: Who chooses the menu? You or your client? posted by Sharon Odmann on November 03, 1998 at 19:07:41: : A personal chef wrote to me asking me if I choose the clients menu. My reaction was "What?" I guess that some personal chefs do that. Wow! Having to make those decisions would put alot of pressure on me. After all, if you go into a restaurant, you don't let the chef pick what you are going to eat, do you? : So, call me curious: : TIA, : Sharon I assembled a menu of 160 plus entrees that I give clients to keep. They choose from the menu (items are numbered), and then email or call with choices (entree numbers), and I confirm the entrees they choose. I choose the sides (steamed veggies, rice, etc.) that would compliments. I encourage them, however, to make special requests for favorites so that they don't feel limited to my 160 plus "ideas".
