Dennis,

I've been gathering information on culinary schools for the past 4 years and I'm sure I've got all the information you need. Johnson & Wales has a wonderful pastry program. The French Culinary Institute in NYC also has a great program with excellent teachers, as does Peter Kumps in NYC. Please E-mail me so I can get you all the information you may need

I am interested in making a mid-career change to the
: pasty field (not sure if I want to work in a restaurant
: or catering). I want to go to school but am having a
: difficult time ranking schools in terms of quality. I
: can find out tuition costs, but I would like know which
: schools would teach the most in a concentrated time and
: which schools would look the best on my resume to a
: prospective employer. I would like a school on the
: east coast (Washington, DC or New York) but would be
: willing to go other places as well. Thanks
