I think in any industry, if a person is qualified
for a position and "company" criteria is met, that
person should have the job.
In our industry "I" don't believe it matters if my
kitchen staff have a record. As long as we are
accomplishing our goals, alls well. I have worked
for companys that did full background checks and
theres no way to hide a traffic ticket, and others
that didn't bother to call for employment
references. Each interview is different and each
candidate is unique to his or her situation, but
there is no need to disclose that info unless
asked.
