I don't know what you were reading Gerard, but the recipe calls for the standard amount of salt in the classic Toll House cookie recipe. Maybe you thought it said tablespoon instead of teaspoon. Anyway, I tried your suggestion of using bread flour instead of all-purpose, and well...all I can say is that the resultant "biscuits" were something that would drive a dog off a gut wagon. Sorry, I'm going back to all-purpose.
